RA (Residential Agricultural District): The RA district provides an environment for residential use at densities that correspond with the available services and general farming operations as defined herein. It is intended to protect the agricultural sections of the community from an increase of urban density development that would make the land less suitable for farms and to protect residential development that is primarily dependent on private wells and septic tanks to insure a safe and healthy living environment. In addition, some uses that are necessary in a rural environment, which are nonresidential in nature may be allowed with conditions or by special use. Single family dwellings included manufactured or modular homes allowed.

Beginning at a nail in the center of North Carolina State Road Number 1316, said beginning point being the northeasternmost corner of the St. Rest Zion Methodist Church property described in Deed Book 105, Page 296, Bladen County Registry, and runs thence from said beginning point North 73 degrees 47 minutes East 312.0 feet to a nail in the center of S.R. 1316; thence South 13 degrees, 31 minutes, East 104.2 feet to a concrete monument; thence South 55 degrees 31 minutes, West 303.13 feet to a concrete marker, being another corner of the St. Rest Zion Methodist Church property as described in Deed Book 105, Page 296, Bladen County Registry; thence with the church property line North 21 degrees 44 minutes West 200 feet to the point of beginning. And being a portion of that certain 6.43 tract conveyed in deed dated October 31, 1974 from Ruth Williams, widow et al to Grover Council and his wife Lauretta Council, of record in Deed Book 227 Page 274, Bladen County Registry.
