Sold Property

This district is established for the purpose of facilitating existing and future farming operations, preserving farm and forest lands, conservation of agricultural, water and other natural resources, reducing soil erosion, preventing water pollution, and protecting watersheds and reducing hazards from flood and fire. It is expected that certain desirable rural areas of this rural district may logically develop residentially, at low density. It is the intent, however, to discourage the random scattering of residential, commercial, or industrial uses in this district. Minimum Lot Size: 20,000 square feet. Maximum building height: 40 feet. One (1) dwelling unit is allowed per one-half (0.5) acre or two (2.0) units per acre.

All of that certain lot or parcel of land, together with improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, situate in the Tunstall Magisterial District, Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and beginning at a corner of Highway No. 1028 and the land of Jesse L Smoke, thence along said road 220 feet to a new point; thence along a new line 440 feet to a new point on the line of existing lot from which this lot has been subdivided, said line running parallel to the land of Jesse L. Smoke; thence 220 feet to a stake; thence along Smoke land 440 feet to a stake and point of beginning; containing one (1) acre, more or less, and being one-half of that property conveyed unto Howard Mack Broadnax and Doris Broadnax, husband and wife by deed dated April 27, 1971, said deed being of record in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Pittsylvania County, Virginia in Deed Book 537 page 553 and further being one-half of that property conveyed unto Howard Mack Broadnax by deed of Doris Ann Broadnax dated July 3, 1997 said deed being recorded in the aforesaid Clerk's Office in Deed Book 1087 page 295 to which deed reference is here made for a more particular description of the property herein conveyed.
