I found my property on LandCentral by doing a quick google search for land in Lady Lake, Florida. I already knew I wanted a property that I could develop and put a mobile home on. When we bought the raw land, it was a jungle. Trees, bushes and weeds had to be cut down. We did some of the work ourselves with help from family and we also hired a company to help with excavation. We purchased dirt and also gravel which we used for the driveway. We bought the power meter and contacted the city to get our utilities hooked up. Next, we got financed for our mobile home and made a down payment. We bought the home in mid-October and by February our home was on our land! Even though it was quite a bit of work, it was neat to see our property go from a “jungle” to a cleared lot ready for our new home. We are happy with our purchase and in fact we are looking for a second piece of land to develop as a rental property!
