R-6 (High Density Single, Two, and Multi-family Residential): The purpose of this district is to provide for older areas which have developed with a mixture of housing types at fairly high densities. Except in unusual circumstances, it will not be used in new areas, and additional property will not be considered for rezoning to this district.

Beginning at a point in the western right of way line of East Street, said point being located North 4 deg. 38 min. 29 seconds East 300 feet measured along the western right of way line of East Street from a point where the western right of way line of East Street intersects the northern right of way line of North Ave., and the line runs thence North 79 deg. 18 min. West 139.90 feet, thence North 4 deg 59 min East 75.03 feet to a stake, thence South 79 deg 18 mins East 139.67 feet to a stake in the western right of way of East Street, thence along the right of way line of East Street South 4 deg. 38 min 29 seconds West 75.06 feet to the point of beginning, and being a portion of lot 75 and all of Lot 76 of the Woodall Heights Sub, in the town of Smithfield according to plat recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 261, Johnston County Registry.
